‘Yes to’ a natural skincare range that delivers great results: Review

How has it taken me this long to discover the ‘Yes to’ range?!

If like me, you seemed to have missed some (or all! 🤦🏼‍♀️) of the hype about this brand, here’s a bit of background info…

‘Created in the US in 2006 by two friends from California who wanted to create a super-natural beauty range that was made from fruit and vegetables. Yes to is now the fastest growing natural beauty brand in the US and No.1 in masks – outselling L’Oréal!

Products without compromise

When scrolling through the Yes to website, it’s obvious how much pride is taken in creating a natural beauty product – that delivers.

‘Skin absorbs much of what you put on it, so we believe it’s important to care as much about what you put on your body as what you put in it. Our formulas are truly natural, and we’re proud to be up front and fully transparent about it! Literally, front and center on all our products you’ll find our seal showing each and every product contains at least 95% NATURAL INGREDIENTS. Our products are also formulated without parabens, plus packaged in recyclable packaging whenever possible‘.

In addition to this, the products are also:

  • Cruelty-free & Leaping Bunny Certified
  • Suitable for vegans
  • Formulated without silicones & SLS

With a team of skincare experts behind them, the brand ensure that they combine awesome natural ingredients, with the latest and greatest formulation recipes to make sure that the products deliver on what the consumer wants – whether that’s cleansing, masking, moisturising etc.

Because of this, there’s a great selection of ranges designed for a variety of skin types.

Yes to…

  • Charcoal – for all skin types
  • Cucumber – for sensitive skin
  • Coconut – for dry skin
  • Grapefruit – for dull & uneven skin tones
  • Tomatoes – for combination & blemish prone skin

I bought this little mask on a whim when placing an order on ASOS and had zero clue about any of the above ranges, till I went to do a bit of researching for this post. In future, I’d def like to try Yes to charcoal, but my impulse buy this time was part of the Yes To Tomatoes collection.

Keep on reading to find out my thoughts on the DIY Powder-to-Clay Mask

Yes To Tomatoes naturally derived formulation blends powerful fruit extracts with other ingredients to help keep combination skin balanced and clear.

I LOVE that there’s the option to customise the mask with other natural ingredients. My skin has been super dull and really tired, so I decided to add a little lemon to my mix.

This packet contained a ‘single use’ mask, but if you were with a friend – or other half(!), I reckon you’d both be good in a joint skincare sesh. I had heaps left over, but unfortunately it doesn’t keep once mixed, so had to bin the rest.

The pack comes with a built-in mixing bowl and measuring spoon (which also works as an applicator!) for you to prep the mask in.

Adding the powder, then the water to take it up to the line, it’s really easy to mix to create a clay.

I added the lemon juice after the water, so it meant my mix was well past the line and it was really watery to begin with. I was worried it was going to be impossible to spoon on to my face, but with a bit more mixing and leaving it to settle a little, it thickened up 👍🏼.

Now that the mix was a good consistency, I used the other side of the spoon, to apply an even layer to my face, avoiding eye area, eyebrows and hairline.

Then I left it for 20mins – for a deep treatment…

…before removing with a damp face cloth.

I honestly couldn’t love this mask more! I thought the results were great. My skin felt fab – although a MASSIVE pimple appeared on my face shortly after! I guess it shows that the mask did it’s job of drawing out impurities from the skin though.

Since reading more about the brand, it’s 100% one that I’ll continue to support. It’s natural products and cruelty free approach – along with the fact that this mask was awesome, means that I’ll be trying a few more of the products soon.

Watch this space! 💋
